Braemar Golf complete PGA National Golf Course Russia

Braemar Golf, St Andrews recently signed off the completion of the PGA National Golf Course in Zavidovo Russia. The 7,400 yards European Golf Design course was constructed by local contractor GeoKam under the construction management supervision of Braemar Golf. The course is now fully grassed and substantially grown-in and ready for the winter shut down. Next Spring the balance of the grow-in works will be completed in readiness for the grand opening in September.

"We are delighted that we have managed to achieve full construction and substantial grow-in on time to ensure that the course can fully open in 2012 as originally planned" said Braemar Golf's Golf Courses Director Jonathan Pendry who was responsible for the construction management.

"The golf course construction and general site management were very good." said European Golf Design Director Jeremy Slessor. "We are particularly pleased with the attention to detail shown to our design and it has resulted in the course construction fully taking on board the subtleties of our design" he added.

Golf Club Zavidovo PGA National Russia will open its club house and 9 holes to member play in June 2012 and will be fully open for play in September 2012. It is Russia's first and only golf course to bear the prestigious PGA National brand.
