Football legends tee off for charity
September 6, 2011

A host of football legends are set to tee off for the annual Medicash Celebrity Golf Classic event in aid of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

The event, which is in its twelfth year, takes place at the Hillside Golf Club in Southport, on Thursday 22nd September and will see football pundit Mark Lawrenson play against Liverpool and Everton FC legends including Alan Kennedy, Graeme Sharp, Phil Neal and Jason McAteer.

Mark said: "This event is one of the highlights of the golfing calendar and I'm looking forward to a really great day on the greens.

"This is your opportunity to play on a world class course with some real sporting legends and raise money for a very worthy charity at the same time."

Each guest will enjoy a full day's activity including brunch in the clubhouse, 18 holes of golf on one of the UK's best links courses, plus a three-course presentation dinner with entertainment from Trick Shot King Jeremy Dale and comedian Denny Waters.
