Stuart Archibald (and Sub70) enjoy Europro success
June 8, 2011

When Stuart Archibald won the Kerry London PGA EuroPro Tour 2011 event at Burhill GC, in Surrey, last weekend, he continued to showcase one of the UK's trendiest designer golf brands.

Basingstoke-based Archibald finished one shot ahead of Yorkshire 's Graeme Clark to win the event - his second success on the tour - while wearing the latest range from Sub70.

Archibald had been an early clubhouse leader on the first day, topped the leaderboard on the second day and led from the front on Friday to claim the £10,000 prize.

He was three shots clear with only four holes to play but a double bogey at the 16th made him sweat. However, he held his nerve to make par at the 17th and 18th to lift the trophy.

Andy Davies, Sub70's sales director, said: "Stuart is really starting to make a name for himself on the tour and we are very proud to be the supplier of his golfwear. With two victories under his belt - which is naturally enough part of the Sub70 range - there is every opportunity for him to continue to progress.

"Hopefully, of course, we'll eventually be able to see him sporting Sub70 apparel on the European Tour. That's his ambition... and ours too."

Sub70 continues to push the boundaries with its new products. The classic Groove shirt leads the way with a selection of new colours, while the new striped Zane shirt is sure to turn heads on the course.

There are also two other contemporary twists on golf shirts - the Rex and the Xavier - while the full range of Sub70 shirts uses a brand new technical performance fibre, CoolBest - a polyester textured yarn with high-performance moisture absorption and perspiration drain.

The brand has long been associated with classic tartan trousers, and the new Claude Tartan range brings new colours and contemporary fit to the golf course. For those after a solid one-colour trouser, the Pierre range gives golfers a stylish look with a fantastic new breathable Lycra stretch material.
