The Wales Festival of Ladies' Golf
September 1, 2011

Female golf enthusiasts are invited to attend the Wales Festival of Ladies' Golf at the Pembrokeshire, Celtic Haven resort, from 24 to 25 September. The women's only golf tournament is supported by the beauty brand Elemis and it is set out to change the perception that golf is a male dominated sport. Players can sign up at http://www.celtichaven-golf.co.uk or on 01834 870000 and the entry fee is just £25 with a free entry for spectators.

Players will benefit from a terrific location and a tour boasting three championship holes and stunning views over Caldey Island and the Atlantic Ocean. The winners will be rewarded with silver trophies or the 'Festival Champion' rosebowl, plus over £1000 in prizes. All participants are treated to a £50 Elemis beauty pack, a jazz pasta party on Saturday and a country music hog roast on Sunday, followed by the awards ceremony.

Emma Guerreiro, winner of the Junior Wales Open in 2009, is representing the competition aiming to increase the popularity of golf among female players. She has collaborated in the past with Celtic Haven for the Sport is Beauty and Cool Golf programmes, making golf feminine without losing its competitive edge.

The competitors and their spectators are all welcome to stay at Celtic Haven's self-catering cottages and using the indoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Elemis Premier Spa treatments can also be booked in advance for an extra-charge, while bed and breakfast prices over the tournament weekend are £79 per person per night.
