2012 Hall of Fame Ceremony details released

The 2012 Induction Ceremony is on Monday, May 7, kicking off THE PLAYERS Championship week. Phil Mickelson, Peter Alliss, Dan Jenkins, Sandy Lyle and Hollis Stacy will all be in St. Augustine, Fla., to celebrate their enshrinement. The Ceremony will be at 6 p.m. ET and televised by Golf Channel at 9:30 p.m.

The Class of 2012 presenters

Presenting Peter Alliss: Terry Jastrow, an acclaimed television producer who has produced 68 majors and won seven Emmy Awards.

Presenting Dan Jenkins: Jerry Tarde, the chief editor at Golf Digest for 25 years and is the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Golf Digest.

Presenting Sandy Lyle: Renton Laidlaw, who has been covering sports in the United Kingdom for more than 50 years and is one of its most respected television voices.

Presenting Phil Mickelson: Steve Loy, the former Arizona State University coach who recruited Mickelson and later became his agent when he turned pro.

Presenting Hollis Stacy: Martha Leach, Stacy's younger sister and the 2009 U.S. Mid-Am Champion.

The Class of 2012 Inductee Exhibits

The Hall of Fame staff is collecting items from each member of the Class of 2012 for display in the Inductee Exhibits. These exhibits will be on display in the Museum's Shell Hall for the year following the 2012 Induction Ceremony.

Some items that are already at the Hall of Fame include: mementos from Alliss' famed broadcasting career; press badges from Jenkins' more than 200 majors; Lyle's trophies from wins at the 1985 Open Championship, 1987 PLAYERS Championship and 1988 Masters; trophies from Mickelson's Masters wins in 2004, 2006 and 2010 (photo below) and clubs from Stacy's 1984 victory in the U.S. Women's Open.
