From Chart Hills to La Cala Resort

Round 1 of the 2012 Banks and Brokers Golf Championship supported by Giles Harwood Wealth Management took place at the stunning Chart Hills Golf Club in Kent on Thursday 12 th July. The event was blessed with some amazing weather, bearing in mind all the recent heavy rain, and the day was a great success with all the golfers saying how impressed they were with the condition of the Chart Hills course and also with the fantastic prizes kindly donated by sponsors La Cala Resort, Subseventy, StevenPalmerGolf.com, GolfingDevotee.com, Trendy Golf, HandyHanddry and golf artist Mark Robinson. The event also helped raise funds for the UK based charity STAR4Africa.
The nearest the pin prize was won by Robert Currie from Fairbairn Private Bank and the longest drive on the day was hit by Sean Grant from Going for Golf. The 3 rd placed team prize went to BT who managed 84 Stableford points, runners-up were team ICAP with 86 points and the winners were Fairbairn Private Bank with a hugely impressive 87 points. ICAP and Fairbairn now go through to the Grand Final taking place at the exclusive Stoke Park Club on Friday 14 th September. Fairbairn also won a two day break to La Cala Resort in Spain and a golf clinic from event sponsor www.StevenPalmerGolf.com
There are still a few team places available for Round 2 of this year's Banks and Brokers Golf Championship taking place at Brocket Hall Golf Club in Hertfordshire on 6 th August. The top two scoring teams on the day will go through to the Grand Final at Stoke Park and the winning team at Brocket Hall will also win a golf break to the fabulous La Cala Resort near Malaga in Spain - see: www.lacala.com
