Braemar Golf, St Andrews are delighted to announce they have been appointed by the Saidia Development Company (SDS) to manage Golf de Saidia. SDS, a subsidiary of CDG Développement, is the new developer of the Saidia Resort, on Morocco's East Mediterranean Coast.
SDS has recently taken over the future development of the project and the existing golf course and the facilities are seen as a key part of the resort's attractions and success for the future. This is Braemar Golf's third project in Morocco, along with Casa Green Golf Club in Casablanca and L'Oasis de Noria Resort in Marrakech.
"Saidia Resort is one of the most important touristic projects in Morocco and part of the national tourism strategy. Braemar Golf is delighted to be working with SDS on such a high profile and important project", commented Andrew Glen, Braemar Golf's General Manager in Morocco.
Braemar Golf has formed a joint venture with Compagnie Générale Immobiliére (CGI), one of Morocco's most important developers, to manage the golf assets of CGI. This is the first project working for a 3rd party and continues to show the commitment to the Moroccan golf market. Mr Keith Haslam, Managing Director of Braemar Golf, St. Andrews, added "we are delighted to be working with SDS and CDG Développement. We see this project as one of the most important Moroccan tourism initiatives. We will be working closely with the developers to ensure that this great golf course plays its part in relaunching Saidia as a top quality golf and beach destination".
Saidia Resort includes one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean, along with 3 existing hotels comprising over 1,500 rooms, commercial centre and food and beverage outlets, all in a spectacular location along 6km of the Mediterranean coast. Additional golf is planned in future phases.
