Elea Estate shortlisted for Time Out Eating Awards 2012
September 5, 2012

Influential lifestyle media brand, Time Out, has announced that it has shortlisted the international food and beverage operation at Eléa Estate in its forthcoming Eating Awards 2012.

It is the second year in a row that the critically-acclaimed Paphos development, which opened in October 2010, has been shortlisted in the important Cyprus awards, that are designed to recognise all forms of exceptional cuisine on the eastern Mediterranean island.

Andre Friedrich, Eléa Estate's Food and Beverage Manager, said: "Our goal has always been to set the standard for international dining on the island and under the creative management of our head chef, John Kouphou, Eléa Estate has quickly built a reputation as a place where visitors and members can enjoy the highest levels of cuisine, in relaxed, friendly, five-star surroundings.

"The food we serve is hearty, healthy, looks good and tastes incredible.  What's more, with our clubhouse providing guests with several stunning locations and vistas from where to enjoy a wonderful meal, it also permits our team to deliver a myriad of culinary options, from traditional golfers' fayre to the very highest standard of international and Cypriot cuisine."

Andre, who has global experience of the food and beverage industry, having previously managed the restaurant at The Intercontinental Hotel , Hyde Park, London, and the fine dining restaurant at The Palace of The Lost City in Sun City, South Africa, also highlighted Eléa Estate's beverage service as a real standout experience.

He added: " One of the memorable aspects of dining at Eléa Estate is also its wine offering, where customers are given the opportunity to select from a 'by the glass' choice of up to 30 different options. Once a guest has sampled the wine they would like, it is then decanted into a special 200ml carafe and delivered to their table.

"Wine is a very personal choice and we want to give every Eléa customer the opportunity to try some fantastic local and international wines at their leisure, and to complement their food selections."

In addition to this latest recognition, Eléa Estate has previously received a host of significant awards including being named one of the Top 10 New International Golf Courses of 2010 by golf.com ; Best International Leisure Development 2011 and Best Golf Development in Europe 2011 at the pretigious International Property Awards.
