Footlabs Go Down a Storm at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship
August 15, 2012

Specialist Orthotics company Footlabs have enjoyed four days helping professionals, celebrities and leading individuals from the business community at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall, Warwickshire.

Situated in the tented village, the Footlabs tent provided custom fittings and consultations for the many European Tour and European Senior Tour stars taking part, and also the over 5,000 spectators who attended the event over the four days of the competition. Showcasing their range of custom made and pre-fabricated Orthotic in-soles to golfers and golf fans, Footlabs fitted European Tour stars Scott Jamieson and Graeme Storm with custom in-soles to improve performance and eliminate golfer's aches and pain.

2011 Seve Trophy star, Scott Jamieson commented:

"Being on tour playing golf professionally undoubtedly takes its toll on the body. As the base of the swing, the feet can really suffer! Everyone knows how important balance is to the swing, and the feet are crucial in ensuring the golf swing is completed effectively. The Footlabs fitting was great and I look forward to seeing the difference Footlabs will make to my game." - Scott Jamieson, European Tour Professional

A typical consultation with the experts at Footlabs involves a detailed examination using the very latest F-Scan and video technology, which assesses we will problem history, barefoot walking, gait, lower limb movement, running analysis on treadmill, and more in order to assess the needs of the individual. Custom-fitted Orthotic insoles are then designed using the latest CAD design software, to address specific gait patterns and compensation movements.

Footlabs have been making a name for themselves as one of the most talked-about new products for golfers, ever since Gary Wolstenholme MBE enjoyed stunning success in his debut season on the European Senior Tour, where he finished the season in 4 th position on the Order of Merit, winning the award for European Senior Tour Rookie of the Year.

Having suffered from aches and pains before turning professional, Gary was determined to have a proper check-up before subjecting himself to the rigours of the professional circuit. That's when he went to Footlabs for an Orthotic consultation and discovered that one of his legs was longer than the other, and that this was causing him pain and fatigue when playing golf.

However, through working with Footlabs and being fitted with their custom fitted insoles, Gary's debut season on tour wasn't just successful, it was sensational. Not only was Gary named as Rookie of the Year, he also won his second event ever on tour and followed this success with a storming start to 2012, by winning two of the first three events. Gary is resounding in his praise of the impact that Footlabs have had on his game:

'I was worried about whether my back would withstand the rigours of professional golf on the European Senior Tour. I've experienced aches and pains in the past, what I didn't realise is that these are down to my feet. A consultation with Footlabs diagnosed that I have one leg shorter than the other and resulted in custom insoles that compensate for this. I do not believe I would have achieved the success I have on tour, if it wasn't for Footlabs ' -- Gary Wolstenholme MBE
