Golfino opens new store in Edinburgh
July 5, 2012

GOLFINO, the leading European brand in golf sportswear, is celebrating the opening of its new Edinburgh store, its first in Scotland and its 39th across Europe.

Situated at the heart of the Scottish capital on exclusive Multrees Walk, GOLFINO Edinburgh is the latest in a long line of store openings in cosmopolitan locations, including Paris, Berlin, Munich, Zurich, Marbella and Palma in Majorca.

The 102m 2 store is the definition of luxury shopping in Edinburgh. Just a short walk from St Andrews Square, this area is also home to many international and national retailers.

GOLFINO Edinburgh's new generation of store design, exuding an atmosphere of a modern sporting lifestyle with a relaxed and prestigious ambience, features bright furnishings dominated by a white background and combines with a sporty green colour to create a fresh, appealing atmosphere.

Other prestigious resort and golf course stockists in Scotland include Archerfield Links, East Lothian, Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire, Carnoustie Golf Links, Angus and The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews.

Andrew Thomson, GOLFINO Sales Director for Northern Europe, said: "Scotland is a hugely important region for GOLFINO and we have been keen to establish a standalone retail presence which complements our strong on-course business that has developed over a number of years.

"This new store sits alongside some of the world's greatest designer brands, including Louis Vuitton, Mulberry and Emporio Armani and is part of a wider strategy to create a strong GOLFINO presence in strategically important locations across the UK."

Founded in 1986 by Christel and Dr Bernd Kirsten, GOLFINO has grown into one of Europe's sportswear success stories - increasing sales of its women's, men's and children's clothing by 11%, to €33.5 million in its latest financial year. In addition to its standalone stores, GOLFINO also boasts 500 Shops-in-Shop partners across 18 European countries, including Harrods department store in London.
