Titleist/FootJoy support Jamega Pro Golf Tour
February 24, 2012

The Jamega Pro Golf Tour organisers are delighted to announce the support of Titleist and FootJoy as new tour sponsorship partners for the 2012 season.

With only 2 weeks until the first winter series event of 2012, at The Bedford Golf Club on 27 February and 5 weeks to the Jamega Spanish Swing series at the Costa Esuri Golf Club and Jose Maria Olazabal's La Monacilla, the support that Titleist and FootJoy has committed to, is a fantastic addition to the already exciting 2012 Jamega Pro Golf Tour season.

Since the Jamega Pro Golf Tour was established in 2004 it has grown and developed on the philosophy of producing the right grounding and experience to benefit the future European Tour Player. It has been a successful professional development ground for players such as Andrew Johnston and Lloyd Kennedy, as well as providing ongoing competitive tournaments for seasoned European Tour players such as Paul Broadhurst and Roger Chapman.

Titleist and FootJoy are well renowned as leading brands within the golf industry. The success of the Titleist and FootJoy brands is demonstrated throughout the world, being used by club professionals as well as leading tour players such as Rory McIlroy, Matteo Manassero and Steve Stricker. This new sponsorship illustrates Titleist and FootJoy's ongoing commitment to professional golf, from development level through to the masters of the sport. The sponsorship support will not only boost the prize package for the Order of Merit players, but will also benefit all the professional members of the Jamega Pro Golf Tour. Jeremy Tomlinson (Vice President - Acushnet EMEA) commented "The Jamega Tour provides a competitive platform for its members, giving them the opportunity to develop their talents through elite level competition and we are excited to announce our association with the Tour for 2012. Titleist and FootJoy products are synonymous with offering performance excellent and are widely endorsed across the worldwide professional tours. I have no doubt that our support of the Jamega Tour will help to nurture the talent that exists within its ranks as the players develop their game for the next step in their playing careers."

Gary Harris, co-founder and director of the Jamega Pro Golf Tour, is extremely optimistic about the prospects of this sponsor relationship. "We are delighted that Titleist and FootJoy have elected to support us this year with a very generous package of prizes for the leading Jamega Tour players in the Order of Merit".

There are 5 one day Winter Series tournaments and 24 two day tournaments at venues around the UK during 2012.
