Lumine Golf Club records 30,000th round
September 24, 2012

Yesterday at Lumine Golf Club Mr. Josep Lluís Muntades completed the 30,000 th game of golf to be played at the Spanish resort since January 2012. Mr. Muntades' round marks a significant milestone in the early years of Lumine Golf Club and cements its reputation as one of Europe's most exciting new destinations.

Calle Carlsson, General Manager of Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community, said; "We are delighted to reach 30,000 rounds after what has been a very successful year. Having hosted the prestigious PGAs of Europe Fourball, our next task is to maintain the momentum and as we look forward to welcoming European Tour Qualifying School for the next two years, we are confident we can continue raising the profile of the entire resort."

To celebrate the 30,000 th round, Josep Lluís Muntades received a Jobacassén gift box containing Lumine wine and olive oil. He commented; "This is my second visit to Lumine Golf Club and it is with pleasure that I will be part of the club's history. I chose Lumine because the courses are in fantastic condition and my family can relax at the restaurant and pools at the Beach Club."

Located on 170 acres, Lumine's three courses make up 45-holes of golf. The Lakes Course, a links-style championship course designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, features several water hazards that wind a round the Sèquia Major wetlands. While The Hills Course, Lumine's second championship course runs through white pine trees and offers spectacular views of the nearby coastline. Completing the golf offering is the 9-hole Ruins Course, another Greg Norman design, uniquely laid out amongst Roman archaeological remains from the second century BC.

Quality service is extended into the après-golf offering at Lumine Golf Club. Hoyo 19 restaurant is located within the Lake's clubhouse which floats on the Sequia Major and showcases sweeping views across the golf course. The menu presents an abundance of Mediterranean dishes to suit all palates.

The luxurious Beach Club is fast becoming one of the most fashionable venues in the Costa Dorada region. Situated on one kilometer of golden Spanish beach and set seductively in the pine-clad hillsides above the sweeping bay of Tarragona's Playa Del Llarga, it provides the perfect mix of style, relaxation, excitement and fine dining. The Beach Club also provides the location for the award-winning Lumine Restaurant. Offering superb Mediterranean cuisine, head chef Eduardo Cuesta has already become somewhat a legend in the area.
