Marriott Golf UK leads the market with its unique new app
March 27, 2012

Marriott Golf UK has launched an ingenious new App designed to help golfers get the most from a game on all its courses.

The new Marriott Golf App, which can be used on an iPhone and on all Android platforms, provides GPS mapping, hole-by-hole details and useful pro tips for every course at all eleven of Marriott Golf UK's Resort & Country Clubs.

It includes an easy-to-use interactive scorecard which enables you to record your scores and statistics and to compete against your friends. It provides access to a useful live 5-day Met Office weather forecast and then, when your round is over, you can also book your next tee times using the device.

The new Marriott Golf App, the first of its kind in Europe, is available FREE from the App Store.

"Marriott Golf is proud of its reputation for providing great service and the new App is the latest initiative aimed at helping our customers get the most from their golf," said Alison Ainsworth, senior director of golf leisure and spa operations.

"We believe the App is the ideal companion for your round at one of Marriott Golf UK's top courses," she added.

"Whether you're a member of one our eleven golf clubs, a resident at one of our Hotel & Country Clubs, or simply visiting for a day's golf, the App is full of useful features to help you enjoy a great day out."

Marriot Golf UK is one of Europe's biggest and most successful golf course operators and provides a wide range of top quality courses for all discerning golfers.

If it is a Championship course you are after, you need look no further than the Arden course at Marriot Forest of Arden or its other Tour venues at Dalmahoy, Hanbury Manor and St Pierre. Forest of Arden has staged seven English Opens and four British Masters while the latter trio have all hosted top men's tournaments and/or leading events on the Ladies' European Tour.

The Arden course at Forest of Arden, the Old Course at St Pierre, the Jack Nicklaus 11 course at Hanbury Manor and the East Course at Dalmahoy are sometimes referred to as Marriott UK's flagship courses but the company also boasts resort golf courses of the highest quality at the likes of Marriott Breadsall Priory near Derby, Marriott Hollins Hall at Shipley, West Yorkshire, Marriott Lingfield Park adjoining the famous racecourse in Surrey, Marriott Meon Valley near Southampton, Marriott Sprowston Manor in Norwich, Marriott Tudor Park on the outskirts of Maidstone in Kent and Marriott Worsley Park at Worsley, near Manchester. Several of those resorts have recently undergone multi-million pound makeovers and all feature a wide array of facilities that will suit every taste.

All of Marriott Golf UK's eleven resorts feature at least one full length 18-hole course and at Dalmahoy, Forest of Arden, Meon Valley and St Pierre there are also shorter 9 or 18-hole courses, with every one of the courses mapped on the New Marriott Golf App.
