Midlands Golf Week 2012 details announced
February 29, 2012

Midlands Golf Week 2012 is promising to be bigger and better than last year with the first clubs revealing their plans to encourage even more people into the sport.

The week-long festival of golf - which is held across seven counties - will take place from Monday, April 9, to Sunday, April 15.

Last year's Midlands Golf Week was the first to be staged and saw nearly 1,200 would-be golfers get involved in free taster sessions and coaching programmes at more than 80 clubs.

Now clubs across the region are signing up to get involved as golf looks to make the most of the raised interest in the sport around the time of the US Masters.

A full list of events can be found by visiting the dedicated website www.midlandsgolfweek.co.uk which will be updated as more clubs announce their plans.

The counties taking part are Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

For more information on the work of the Warwickshire Golf Partnership contact Julia Burton, County Development Officer, Warwickshire County Golf Partnership.
