Oceânico fills gap in the market with family golf packages

Oceanico Direct has launched a number of great value family golf holidays packages to accommodate those in search of the ideal family golfing break. The stunning Amendoeira Golf Resort, near the town of Silves, is inviting guests to take advantage of the Family Golf Breaks throughout 2013 which include complimentary rounds for children.

The Family Golf Breaks include seven nights' accommodation, two rounds of golf for parents (Oceânico Faldo Course or the Oceânico O'Connor Jnr.), two complimentary rounds for each child* (U-17 years old), complimentary buggies (subject to availability), an Academy Experience on the 9 hole, par 3 course and free use of the recreational sports facilities at the Amendoeira Sports Club. The modern apartments and villas all comprise a spacious living room/dining area, satellite TV and Wi-Fi Internet and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine . All accommodation has a balcony, terrace or roof terrace with outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxing in the sun or dining al fresco. The apartments have a communal pool and the villas all have private pools.

Whilst accommodation is self-catering, the Amendoeira Clubhouse offers a buffet breakfast and an à la carte breakfast/All Day menu. The Clubhouse also caters for lunch and dinner, either in the lounge or terrace of the restaurant & bar, or in the greenside spike bar.

Amendoeira Golf Resort is situated in the beautiful central Algarve countryside, 10 minutes from the town of Silves and 10 minutes from Armação de Pêra beach. The 18 hole golf courses opened in October 2008 when Oceânico inaugurated the Oceânico Faldo Course and Oceânico O´Connor Jnr. course, along with the floodlit 9-hole, par 3 course, Oceânico Academy course. The Amendoeira Clubhouse boasts luxury changing rooms and a pro shop, and Amendoeira Golf Resort is now recognized as one of Europe's finest golfing destinations.

In addition to the two 18 hole golf courses, the resort boasts state of the art practice facilities at the Amendoeira Golf Academy & Fitting Suite, which offers a wide variety of training programmes for juniors, beginners and advanced golfers, plus a driving range, putting green and long and short game practice areas.

The on-site Amendoeira Sports Club also has a range of recreational sporting facilities: two five-a-side Astroturf football pitches, six tennis courts, a jogging path, children's playground and a gymnasium, in addition to a sports shop and bar.

Amendoeira Golf Resort is ideally located, with many local attractions within reasonable driving distance such as Aqualand Water Park which is just a stone's throw away. Other attractions and activities include: Zoomarine, Slide & Splash, AquaShow, Jeep Safaris, horse riding and the beach is less than a 10 minute drive away. 

Flights to Faro are not included, allowing guests to book the most convenient flight times with airlines including Monarch ( ), British Airways ( ) and Easyjet ( ) from the UK. Aerlingus ( ) flies from the Republic of Ireland. Ryanair ( ) now offer flights to Faro from the UK, Republic of Ireland and many other European destinations.
