On-song Singh climbs to world no. 87
July 16, 2012

Jeev Milkha Singh beat Francesco Molinari with a birdie at the first extra hole in a play-off to win the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf Links. On a windy final day Singh shot a 5-under-par round of 67, the joint best score of the day along with Matthew Baldwin who climbed 27 places to finish tied 5th. Scotland's Marc Warren held the lead during the final round but eventually finished joint third with Swede Alex Noren one shot back. The win takes Singh on a 105 spot jump in the Official World Golf Ranking where he now holds 87th position.
