Busy Ranking week despite non-counting Ryder Cup

Although it does not count for World Ranking points the 39th Ryder Cup match between the United States and Europe had twenty-four of the World Top-35 players competing for the Trophy. Europe retained the Cup by 14½ points to 13½.

Third round leader Korean Hyun-Woo Ryu won the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour after a play-off with Shingo Katayama.

On the Asian Tour Tsai Chi-huang of Chinese Taipei hung on to win the Mercuries Taiwan Masters despite a final round 76 by four shots from Antonio Lascuna.

The South Pacific Golf Open on the Australasian Tour produced a close finish with New Zealand’s Brad Shilton taking his maiden victory by one shot.

On the Sunshine Tour the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final was won by Branden Grace by three shots from Allan Versfield for his fourth title of the year and he moves into the OWGR Top-50 for the first time in 49th position.

Brooks Koepka from the United States came from behind with a final round 65 to win the rain shortened Challenge de Catalunya by three shots from Alessandro Tadini.

Finally on the Web.com Tour Russell Henley won the Chiquita Classic.
