Matteo Manassero returns to world top 50
November 12, 2012

Matteo Manassero won the Barclays Singapore Open after a play-off with Louis Oosthuizen at Sentosa GC. The Italian, who became The European Tour’s youngest winner two years ago, now becomes the only player in European Tour history to win three times whilst still a teenager. Two trips back down the 18th in the play-off failed to split the pair then the 19 year old eagled the third play-off hole from 15 feet to deny Oosthuizen a third win of the season. The win takes Manassero back into the World Top 50 with a 39 spot jump to World Number 46 and a return to Augusta for the Masters Tournament in 2013 now very much a possibility.

PGA Tour rookie Charlie Beljan won the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic - the final event of the season - by two shots from Matthew Every and Robert Garrigus and climbs into the top 200 at World No. 159. Every climbs 26 places to 123rd and Garrigus is up two at 40th.
