It’s golf, but not as you know it at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre
August 31, 2012

Ramsdale Park Golf Centre is offering all Nottingham golfers a chance to participate in the sport's revolutionary nine-hole format - PowerPlay Golf.

On Friday, September 21, the public pay-and-play facility - part of BGL Golf, the UK's leading golf course owner and operator - will stage the competition for golfers to play the shortened version of the game over the stunning parkland Seely Course, which offers spectacular views of the Nottinghamshire countryside.

PowerPlay Golf is a played as a Stableford competition over nine holes and introduces a new dimension to the game; two flags on each green - a white one located in a straightforward position and a more difficult black flag, which provides a stiffer challenge but double points.

Nick Birch, Ramsdale Park Golf Centre General Manager, said: "PowerPlay Golf is a fun and fast way to enjoy the game that bears similarity to Twenty20 cricket and we are looking to find the best PowerPlay golfer in Nottingham.

"It has been played by Ryder Cup stars Graeme McDowell and Ian Poulter, but golfers of all ages and ability can enjoy the shortened version of the game.

"If you think you have what it takes to be crowned Nottingham's top PowerPlay golfer we look forward to welcoming you at Ramsdale Park."

Entry to Ramsdale Park Golf Centre's PowerPlay Tournament is £15 for visitors, and incudes PowerPlay course equipment, rules and guidebook, an evening meal and prizes.
