Leaderboard Golf teams up with the SwingReader App
November 23, 2012

Leaderboard Golf ( ) is taking the SwingReader app ( ) to the next level by becoming the first golf organisation to offer free professional advice to golfers worldwide. Leaderboard has teamed up with SwingReader to offer players tailored and personal feedback to help improve their game via an easy-to-use function within the app.

The first of its kind, this revolutionary download for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad allows golfers to upload a video of their swing via the app. The video is then analysed by Leaderboard's pros who provide free personalised feedback to the app user via their mobile device.

With a few easy clicks, any player can get their swing analysed.

•  The user visits the Leaderboard website ( ) finds the SwingReader icon, and registers for the service simply by entering their email address.

•  Once the user has registered they will be redirected to the iTunes App Store where they can download the SwingReader app.

•  The user records his or her swing following the guidelines given on Leaderboard's website. The recording can then be submitted for analysis simply by tapping "share via email" and sending it to

•  The Leaderboard pros will then receive the video for review. Over 15 golf pros will be available to provide free swing analysis and the user will receive personalised feedback via email or audio within 24 hours.

The SwingReader App will help golfers study their body mechanics and improve their game for just the £1.99 download cost or a Lite version for free. This is a fast, affordable opportunity for golfers to progress quickly without face-to-face tuition.

The app allows users to discover subtle problems with their swing which they can identify and fix while still on the driving range. SwingReader shows users a slow motion video of their movement, creating a brand new way to learn and improve technique.

The popularity and portability of today's smartphones mean that even on the golf course you can easily record video footage at the touch of a button. Using 3G technology you can upload to the app immediately.

Paul Gibbons, Chairman of Leaderboard Golf, comments: "The partnership with SwingReader is one of Leaderboard's many innovative projects aiming to make golf more accessible and fun. With this app Leaderboard Golf is facilitating the process of improving golfers' games, offering golfers short on time or without a professional tutor nearby tailored, personal feedback to help improve their swing. However, this is an additional tool for golfers, and according to my experience should not be replaced by effective face-to-face tuition."

To register and download the app visit the website: Exciting SwingReader users can still register on Leaderboard's website to access the free service.
