Tiger Woods items added to World Golf Hall of Fame
June 21, 2012

Tiger Woods thrilled the golf world with his performance at the 2012 Memorial Tournament, where he tied Jack Nicklaus for second on the PGA Tour's all-time win list with his 73 rd victory.  Now items from that victory, including the ball Woods used to make his dramatic shot on the 16 th hole, are on display at the World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum.

Visitors to the Hall of Fame will be able to view the ball and the glove Woods was wearing for his final-round 67.

The items are part of an ongoing program at the Hall of Fame called History in the Making. The program concentrates on golf's most recent events, with memorabilia from professional tournaments, major championships and team events like the Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup and Presidents Cup. It will also highlight record-breaking performances and other historic moments, like Woods' victory at the Memorial.

Woods did it with a shot that will be long remembered. On the par-3 16 th during the final round, he flew his 8-iron over the green and found himself 50 feet from the pin and with a horrible lie. Woods electrified the crowd when his full flop shot dropped in for a birdie that propelled him to his record-tying victory.

"I don't think under the circumstances I've ever seen a better shot," Nicklaus said after the win. Nicklaus and Woods also signed a pin flag from the Memorial, which is part of the display.
