Lee Westwood Golf - Family Knockout competition

May 2, 2013

Lee Westwood Golf is excited to launch a Family Knockout competition which is in line with England Golf directives and will run alongside the successful Lee Westwood Golf Tour.

Lee, who was driven to many events and received much of his initial golfing knowledge from his parents as a youngster, is passionate about family golf and developing young golfers in a family environment.

To help Lee achieve this, the Lee Westwood Golf Tour has created a Family Knockout competition, where any two members of the same family are able to compete together.

There is no restriction on age and pairs can take part in the competition providing they are part of the same family and have registered CONGU handicaps.

Whether it is a father and daughter, grandmother and grandson or brother and brother-in-law, the competition will cater for any combination, creating a great family occasion.

As an added bonus, each pair will have the ability to change their combination on a round-by-round basis.

The pairs knockout competition is divided into four different areas of the UK - North, South, East and West, which is then divided by county.

The first round will be played home and away, with all matches being played in a better ball match play format with ¾ handicaps against the lowest player used.

Each of the four areas will provide four winning pairs, who will then come together to play off in the semi-finals day. That will consist of two 18-hole matches, which will produce the area winner and finalist for the national finals at the end of the season.

This is a great opportunity for any golfing family to enjoy playing golf and competing together. If you want your family to become Lee Westwood Golf - Family Knockout national champions, now is the time to join.
