Extra Swings at Leeds Golf Centre thanks to Summer Solstice

June 20, 2013

As the longest day of the year approaches, Leeds Golf Centre have announced that customers can take advantage of the extended playing time by offering unlimited golf for just £10 this Friday 21 st June. The June solstice marks the first day of the summer season and the late sunset offers golfers the chance to play long into the evening.

The extra daylight is also an opportunity for both members and visitors to come and experience one of the North's most contemporary golfing facilities. This offer gives players unlimited access to the 18 hole, recently redesigned Wike Ridge Championship Course, as well as The Oaks, the 12 hole short course, between, 4pm and 9pm on Friday 21 st June.

Nigel Sweet, Operations Manager at Leeds Golf Centre, commented: "More daylight means more time to play golf and after a couple of week's worth of good weather, many golfers are keen to get the holes in while they still can.  On Friday, golfers will be able to play as many rounds as they can after 4pm giving them the chance to practise their skills on two top quality courses for a brilliant price.

"Some of the top tour players, including the newly crowned US Open winner Justin Rose, have moved away from the UK to ensure they take advantage of the sunlight. This is the chance for anyone local to get the most of the recent good weather and extended light before we start to see those dark nights again!"
