£5000 bet on Tiger but is Mcllroy now the man to beat?

April 9, 2013

Bookies William Hill have seen a surge of support for Rory Mcllroy to win the first major of the year after he appeared to play himself back into form in Texas. Rory is currently the 8/1 second favourite to win and he is 6/5 to finish ahead of Tiger Woods on Sunday night.

Tiger is once again the big boys favourite and William Hill have taken a number of four figure bets for Woods  including a £5000 bet today at 4/1.

"Rory has been friendless all year but appears to have returned to form at just the right time and he will be a disastrous result should he come good this weekend!" said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

14 year old Tianlang Guan is a 7/1 shot to be top amateur at the Masters.
