One Stop Golf, Hull - new short game area

October 23, 2013

One Stop Golf in Hull has planned a week long programme of events to mark the official opening of the ultimate golf gaming centre starting on Monday 28 October.

Golfers can play the new Target Golf Game for FREE all week at One Stop Golf.  Target Golf is the contemporary driving range experience that is akin to a sports bar or upscale bowling alley. The undercover range includes comfy sofas for team mates to relax on while the golfer hits balls at the targets which are at distances from 30 to 200 yards.

To build on the junior golfer following One Stop Golf PGA Professional Golfers are offering a half term coaching programme.  Monday 28 October - 10am-1pm, beginners, Tuesday 29 October - 2.30pm-5pm, all abilities and Thursday 31 October - 10am-1pm, intermediates with some knowledge of the game required.  Each session, which costs £20 per golfer, will include two and a half hours of short and long game development followed by half an hour for lunch or tea.  All players must be at least five years old.  Booking is essential.  To book your place or for more information telephone James on 07984 189721 or email james@richpacegolf.co.uk

The most recent addition to National Avenue's One Stop Golf is the short game area which offer golfers of all abilities the opportunity to continue their practice during the winter months.  The floodlit facility, which golfers have access to for FREE during the opening week, has artificial surfaces providing summer conditions all year round.  One Stop Golf believe that each shot played around the green should be under tournament pressure conditions so they have created the Short Game Challenge to simulate that experience. The game is played on the elevated contoured chipping green with 20 balls from nine different grass tee stations and a bunker. The highest points are scored for getting shots nearest to the flag. The five hole putting green also forms part of the challenge.  Two short game clinics are being held during the opening week on Monday 28 October at 10am and 3pm at £5 per golfer.  Booking is essential.

Mark Rozenbroek, Director at One Stop Golf said: "Although One Stop Golf has been on the radar for golfers in Hull for some time, now we've completed the developments with the opening of the short game challenge area we feel it's time to shout about our great facilities.  Having an open week during half term should give golfers of all ages the opportunity to come and enjoy the wide range of golf-themed games - Target Golf, Foot Golf, Short Game Challenge - and the amazing  teaching academy and practice facilities we have at One Stop Golf, as well as the Premier Lounge to enjoy a well-earned refreshment after your game!"
