Midsummer Madness at St Enodoc

June 25, 2013

As the longest day of the year - June 21 - approaches, St Enodoc Golf Club has conjured up its own brand of midsummer madness by offering a twilight rate of just £45 after 4pm every day of the week except Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This preferential rate, which will be in force as long as daylight allows throughout the summer and autumn months, will give golfers the chance to enjoy St Enodoc's Church Course at a time of the day when it is often at its most glorious.

The natural contours and undulations of this championship course, designed by James Braid, are further enhanced during the twilight hours as long shadows and balmy orange light envelop the course giving it stunning definition and atmosphere.

The challenging 6,547-yard layout also boasts spectacular views of the north Atlantic Coast and the Camel Estuary from virtually every hole.

"The late afternoon is one of the best times to enjoy a round over St Enodoc as it is at its most picturesque and also relatively quiet, so you can choose between a quick zip around the course or a relaxed walk over 18 holes, giving you time to appreciate the wonderful views," says Tuck Clagett, manager of St Enodoc.

"You can then polish off your twilight round with a thirst quencher on the clubhouse terrace overlooking the course."

St Enodoc was recently positioned at 41 st place in Golf Monthly magazine's latest course ranking for the 'Top 100 Courses UK and Ireland 2012' whilst earlier in the year Golf World magazine r anked St Enodoc in 35 th position in its 'Top 100 Golf Courses in Britain & Ireland and in 76 th spot in the 'World's Top 100 You Can Play'. Back in 2009, St Enodoc was also ranked 55th in the world outside the US by the well-respected Golf Digest magazine.
