Tai Chi for golf

June 12, 2013

Tai Chi teacher Ian Deavin and The Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living will again run their focused class program of Tai Chi exercises for golfers. This will take place as a series of 5 one hour sessions on Thursday evenings through July to September from 8-9pm at a cost of £5 per session.

Classes will look at how Tai Chi works on universal principles of optimal body usage including good posture, balance and movement - giving participants the opportunity to develop the structure and mind-body awareness vital in golf for power and sensitive control.

It is understood that Tai Chi exercises promote mental and physical preparation - often referred to as "getting into the zone" together with relaxed fluid movement to promote improved stroke play. Mindful learning is practiced in order to develop good technique - so that golfers may play better and enjoy it more.

Dates: 25th July, 1st , 8th & 29th August, 5th September 2013. For further information contact The Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living - www.letchworthcentre.org , or visit www.sheffordtaichi.org/taichiforgolf .
