De Vere enhances Foremost partnership

October 16, 2014

Two of the UK golf industry's most respected names, De Vere Hotels & Resorts and Foremost Golf, the UK's largest golf buying group, have formed a partnership in order to provide a comprehensive retail experience across De Vere's diverse golf resorts portfolio.

This partnership will bring numerous benefits to De Vere customers, from providing an extensive range of products at competitive prices, through to the before-service communications that Foremost already provides on a regular basis to inform consumers about the products best suited to their game.

Venues across the De Vere Hotels & Resorts portfolio, including Slaley Hall, Oulton Hall, Mottram Hall and The Carrick on Loch Lomond, will benefit from the buying power of the Foremost Group, which boasts over 1,000 golf clubs. As the largest buyer and seller of golf products in the UK, Foremost brings access to the best products in the industry, meaning De Vere guests will be able to purchase the latest equipment at exceptional prices.

Keith Pickard, Group Director of Golf at De Vere commented; “This partnership means that De Vere guests will benefit from the dedicated resource of Foremost, enriching the retail experience that we offer across the De Vere portfolio of resorts.”

In addition to the direct buying power, De Vere Hotels & Resorts will benefit from Foremost's digital marketing expertise, including targeted correspondence and Foremost's widely acclaimed Elite Marketing Programme (EMP); a key aspect of its digital marketing offering. EMP is a weekly online newsletter providing consumers with expert insights, products reviews and special offers, to improve their retail experience and allow for more informed decisions when purchasing products.

“Not only will the Foremost clout as a buyer mean that we are able to offer the best products to our consumers, but the added value that they provide through their consumer communications is invaluable to us as we look to provide the highest level of service,” continued Pickard.

Paul Hedges, CEO of Foremost Golf expressed his delight in the new relationship; “Being chosen to partner with De Vere is fantastic for us. We are always looking to align ourselves with people who provide the highest standard of service and De Vere, as a well-established and highly respected brand within the industry, fits the bill perfectly.

“We pride ourselves on providing the best and most informed retail experience possible, and look forward to working alongside the De Vere team to further enhance the fantastic onsite facilities that are available throughout the De Vere portfolio.”
