Major year for Europe’s golfers

April 2, 2014

With the first major less than a fortnight away William Hill have opened their book on who will win a major this year. Despite his back problems Tiger Woods is quoted at 6/4 to lift one of the four trophies - with Rory Mcllroy 5/2 and Adam Scott 3/1.

Lee Westwood is off the pace at present but is 8/1 to finally land a big one, whilst Luke Donald is 14/1 and Ian Poulter 16/1.

"2014 is a massive year with Ryder Cup places up for grabs - Europe are favourite but many of the big names are looking out of form at present," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
