Sail the Mediterranean with Las Colinas Golf & Country Club

August 26, 2014

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club located just south of Alicante and nestled in a 330-hectare valley, is offering guests the chance to sail away and relax on the Mediterranean Sea and Mar Menor with the introduction of new sailing and fishing leisure experiences.

The new experiences allow guests to tailor make their Las Colinas holiday, with a unique menu of a world apart holiday add-ons that also include local wine tours, diving, hot air balloon rides, region tours, falconry and golf on the resort's Troon managed 18-hole championship golf course.

The Sailing Charter provides the opportunity to enjoy a day relaxing on board a catamaran with friends and family. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club invites guests to take an unforgettable sailing trip on the Mediterranean Sea and Mar Menor on either a 1 or 2 day trip, accompanied by an experienced captain. Setting off from the port of San Pedro del Pinatar, calling at the marine reserve of Isla Grosa, or the Mar Menor, guests can enjoy snorkelling and paddle surfing and a relaxing lunch before returning back to San Pedro del Pinatar.

The Fishing Charter gives visitors the opportunity to fish for their own lunch. With the port of San Pedro del Pinatar as a base, the experience provides either offshore sports or coastal fishing. The captain is present throughout, and steers guests to bountiful fishing grounds. The trip includes lunch on board the catamaran as well as all the equipment needed for the type of fishing chosen.

For those with a true passion for the sea, the Weekend Charter offers two days sailing, returning to the port of San Pedro del Pinatar at the end of each day. Combining sailing, water sports, bird watching and fishing activities, it is the perfect two day sea escape.

The new sailing and fishing charters are not the only activities Las Colinas Golf & Country Club have lined up for their guests in the coming months as the resort gears up for a fun filled summer with their Summer Night Sizzlers.

With fantastic music and excellent food at UNiK CAFÉ on Saturday nights and wine tasting and BBQ every Friday through August there really is no other place to spend the summer. The kids are catered for too at the KIDS' CLUB 2014 - with a range of sports and fun activities suitable for children between the ages of 5 and 13, the kids can try their hand at tennis and paddle tennis and golf tuition for just 25€ per child per day.

Recently endorsed for outstanding standards in hospitality, interior design and architecture, the resort was voted best Golf Resort in the International Hotel & Property Awards.

Such outstanding architecture remains throughout the resort as guests retire to the contemporary apartments of Las Colinas Residences. The on-site Residences have been created with the natural environment front of mind and quality and privacy inherent in their design, providing the ideal in convenience for Las Colinas guests.
