US Open betting odds

June 12, 2014

The new kid on the block, Jordan Spieth, is the main man William Hill are fearing heading into the US Open on Thursday. As it stands, he is the fifth favourite at 22/1 and should he win, he already costs Britain's biggest bookmaker £500,000.

His odds have come in from 40/1 at the start of the year and at the start of this week he was 28/1. Since then his odds have tumbled again to 22/1.

"In the past, our big liabilities have more often than not been for Rory or Tiger but it now seems like there is a new kid on the block for punters to get stuck into," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Rory McIlroy is the 11/1 favourite to win the US Open with Adam Scott the 14/1 second favourite. Bubba Watson completes the top three at 16/1.

US Open winner: 11/1 Rory McIlroy; 14/1 Adam Scott; 16/1 Bubba Watson; 18/1 Phil Mickelson; 22/1 Jordan Spieth; 25/1 Henrik Stenson; 25/1 Justin Rose; 25/1 Matt Kuchar; 25/1 Sergio Garcia; 28/1 Jason Day; 33/1 Dustin Johnson; 40/1 Charl Schwartzel; 40/1 Hideki Matsuyama; 40/1 Jim Furyk; 40/1 Luke Donald; 40/1 Martin Kaymer; 40/1 Steve Stricker; 40/1 Webb Simpson; 45/1 Lee Westwood; 50/1 BAR
