Baker-Finch rules out return at Open

Ian Baker-Finch, the Australian whose career went from a tale of glory to a horror story, has ruled out making a playing return at The Open in July.

It had been thought the 39-year-old, winner of the title in 1991, might make his Open comeback three years after shooting a first-round 92 at Troon.

But Baker-Finch has confirmed that he will be working for the American network ABC rather than playing.
