Grace beats Dawson in playoff

Former Walker Cup player John Grace won the biggest title of his short professional career Monday when he beat left-hander Peter Dawson in a play-off for the $266,000 The Belfry PGA Seniors Championship.

Playing over the PGA National course at The Belfry, Grace, an American, birdied the first extra hole -- the par-4 18th -- after hitting an eight iron to within three feet.

Earlier Dawson, from Hampshire, had raced through the field from joint 14th place to the top of the leaderboard with a course record-equalling 65.
