The British Masters increased the purse for next year's tournament to £1,250,000, an increase of £450,000
The tournament will remain at the Woburn Golf and Country Club but will be shifted from the Duke's Course to the Marquess Course.
The event will be held May 31-June 3. It was played this season in mid-August.
The winner will receive £208,250
Ken Schofield, executive director of The European Tour, said: “This magnificent increase by Victor Chandler emphasises their superb support for European Tour golf and furthermore provides a three week swing when more than seven million euro (approximately £4½ million) in prize money will be on offer.”
