Two of Australia's top golfers
- Craig Parry and Stephen Leaney - are in doubt for this week's Ericsson Masters
at Huntingdale, in Melbourne, after suffering injuries in a social cricket match.
Parry, a three-time winner of the Ericsson Masters, is in grave doubt after straining
a hamstring while chasing a ball in the match between a golfers XI and an MCC
XI at the MCG yesterday.
He withdrew from the Masters
Pro-Am today and has a leg heavily bandaged.
Leaney is nursing injured
fingers on both hands, one bruised while batting and the other while wicketkeeping.
Leaney can still grip the
club and says at this stage he plans to play.
Tournament organiser IMG
is lamenting the match -- in which golfers Aaron Baddley and Stuart Appleby also
played -- with organisers saying it won't be happening again.
