West Chester native Jim Furyk has announced plans for the 2nd annual Exelon Invitational to be held June
5 at Wyncote Golf Club.
Carlos Franco has been
added to complete the field for the second staging of the event.
Franco, a two-time winner
on the PGA Tour in 1999 joins Davis Love III, Nick Price, and Furyk in this year's
tournament. Love III, Price, and Furyk are ranked fourth, eighth and ninth in
the world, respectively, while Franco is 18th.
The four pros will compete
in a skins game format for a purse of $280,000. Last year's version of the tournament
featured Furyk, Lee Janzen, Justin Leonard, and Sergio Garcia.
Partial proceeds of the
event will go to the Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity.
