Pierre Fulke’s 5-wood second shot to the 16th hole in the final round of the Volvo Masters last month has been judged the European Tour's Canon Shot of the Year, tour officials have announced.
Fulke's 215-yard shot stopped 25 feet from the flagstick on the 517-yard par 5, and he holed the putt for an eagle. That sequence of events effectively sealed his second victory of the season. The 29-year-old from Sweden later called it the best shot he'd ever hit.
