Mark James is back on the
Ryder Cup team, this time as Sam Torrance's assistant.
James, who left as Ryder
Cup captain after Europe's one-point defeat by the Americans last year, was chosen
Wednesday by the Scotsman as his second assistant for next year's match against
the Americans.
Ian Woosnam was picked
earlier as Torrance's first assistant.
"I'm hoping that I'll make the team in another way -- as a player," said
James, a member of seven European teams as a player before his elevation to the
captaincy last year.
