Paul Lawrie, the 1999 Open
Champion, has changed his caddie again, after just one event with Martin Gray
at the Dubai Desert Classic.
Open
champion Paul Lawrie has decided on another change of caddie - just 10 days after
parting company with Irishman Paddy Byrne and after only four rounds with Worksop's
Martin Gray.
Colin
Byrne, no relation to Paddy Byrne, will carry for Lawrie when he returns to US
for the Players' Championship and Masters later this month.
Paddy Byrne was sacked just
minutes before Lawrie teed off at the Andersen Consulting Matchplay.
"I'm
sure it will be long-term but we have three weeks to find out if we like each
other," said Lawrie. "He'll also work for me at the Ballesteros Trophy."
