Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer will play as partners in Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, March 30-April 1, 2001. The tournament will be played on the "The King& The Bear" course at World Golf Village, a course co-designed byNicklaus and Palmer in their first collaboration.
The event was played atThe "Slammer & The Squire" course at World Golf Village in 1999 and 2000.
"The World Golf Village is a most fitting venue for Arnold and Jack's first design collaboration," PGA Tour commissioner TimFinchem. "Theyhaveteamedto produce a
wonderfulgolfcourse. Wethank them for their commitments to both the golfcourseandthe Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf.Their participation will make the 2001 edition a very special one."

Nicklaus will be making his thirdappearance in the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, having played previously in 1996 and 1999. For Palmer, it will be his 15th appearance, dating back to the 1980 event.Nicklaus and Palmer teamedto win seven titles from 1963-1971 in the Canada Cup (1963, '64), PGANational Team Championship (1966), World Cup (1966, '67), and National Team Championship (1970, '71).
TheLibertyMutual Legends of Golf is a 54-hole, two-man team event which combinesformatsofbestball and modified alternate shot.Last year's field included 42 teams and 11 World Golf Hall of Fame members.
