Norman signs endorsement deal with SFX

Two-time British Open champion Greg Norman signed a deal today with SFX Sports Group to handle his merchandising rights.

While Norman has not won on the PGA Tour since 1997, he has become one of sports most successful businessmen through his Great White Shark Enterprises, which includes golf course design, apparel, real estate, turfgrass production and premium wines.

Greg Norman will be the biggest name on SFX's books. Allsport

Great White Shark will operate separately from SFX, a spokesman for Norman said. SFX, a subsidiary for Clear Channel Communications, will help develop future licensing and endorsement opportunities.

"I'm confident in their ability to align me with select corporations that make sense for me and my businesses,'' Norman said.

Norman, meanwhile, gives SFX a big-time player as it tries to expand its golf management business. Other players represented by SFX are Scott Hoch, Scott Verplank, and John Daly.
