The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association is seeking
nominations for its 2001 Winnie Palmer Award, to be presented at the MGWA's 50th
National Awards Dinner on June 19 at the Hyatt Hotel in Greenwich, Conn.
The Winnie Palmer Award acknowledges an individual from the world of golf who has consistently given time, energy, and enthusiasm to those less fortunate. It is presented in memory of Winnie Palmer, who devoted much of her life to charity work.
The recipient of the inaugural Winnie Palmer Award in 2000 was Barbara
Nicklaus.
