Record first prize of
£250,000 on offer at Volvo PGA Championship
A record first prize of
£250,000 will be on offer when Colin Montgomerie targets a record third successive
victory at the Volvo PGA Championship.
This year's Millennium edition of the event from May 26-29 will see best-ever
overall prize money of £1.5m.
"The Volvo PGA Championship is the European Tour's flagship event,"
said Montgomerie. "It is one trophy I always wanted to win and to win it
three times in succession would be very special."
