Creamer gains first Seniors win

David Creamer gained his first win on the European Seniors Tour when he overcame a poorl start to his final round to win the Energis Seniors Mastersat Wentworth.

“It is difficult to put into words what this means to me,” Creamer said minutes after receiving the £30,000 first place cheque. “I’ve been out on this Tour for seven years now so I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to win.

“It means an awful lot to me and it’s even more special after the start I had. That was the one thing that I didn’t want to do but I tried to stay positive and I managed to come through in the end.

Stanley, who was battling to become the first double winner on this season’s European circuit, having won last month’s Coca Cola Kaiser Karl tournament in Germany finished two shots ahead ofNeil Coles andDavid Oakley.
