Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus have agreed to play
in the Shark Shootout next month at Doral, tournament host Greg Norman said today.
"There is nothing more we could have hoped for than to have two
of golf's all-time greatest champions,'' Norman said.
The Shark Shootout will be played Nov. 17-19 on Norman's newly
designed Great White Course at Doral after spending its first 11
years in southern California.
It features 12 two-man teams competing for $1.75 million in
prize money, with $400,000 going to the winning team.

Nicklaus regularly plays the PGA Tour event at Doral since it's
only a short commute from his home in North Palm Beach. But Palmer
last played Doral in 1971.
Whether Nicklaus and Palmer are paired together is up to the
tournament. The only announced team so far is Norman and fellow
Australian Steve Elkington.
Earlier in the week, Nicklaus and Palmer will unveil their first
collaboration in golf course design, "The King & The Bear," at
the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.
