Seven-time European number one Colin Montgomerie and Masters champion Vijay
Singh will headline the inaugural Singapore Masters Golf tournament next
February 21-25.
The £590,000 event at the Singapore Island Country Club
will be further boosted by being co-sanctioned by the European Tour.
``It's the beginning of the year for Ryder Cup points so this tournament is
going to attract a lot of players,'' said Asian PGA executive director Ramlan
Harun.
``The Asians will also have the Dynasty Cup and will be launching a points
system, and so the tournament will be keenly contested by both European players
and our own players.''
