Singh the latest to withdraw from NEC Invitational
Masters champion Vijay Singh withdrew Wednesday from the World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational.
Singh, who is a member of the International Team for The Presidents Cup, withdrew due to a sprained left forearm.
David Duval, the world's No. 3-ranked player who continues to battle a lower back sprain, withdrew on Tuesday. Steve Elkington, who was named to the International Team for The Presidents Cup on Monday, is also unable to compete after having hip surgery.
A field of 37 players will now compete for shares of the $5 million purse. The winner receives a $1 million prize.
