Major winners gather for Three Tour Challenge

The Senior PGA and LPGA Tours have selected strong line-ups for the annual Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Reflection Bay course near Las Vegas.

The regular PGA Tour will be represented by Phil Mickelson, Rocco Mediate and Notah Begay III, a trio with no 'major' championship wins to date. By contrast, the Senior Tour line-up of Tom Watson, Tom Kite and Hale Irwin has won 12 'majors', one more than the LPGA Tour team of Juli Inkster, Dottie Pepper and Karrie Webb.

Celebrating its ninth season, the Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge, the only occasion that all three tours compete against each other, took place last month but will not be televised in America until just before Christmas.

To date, it has raised more than 3.5 million for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
