The International Federation of PGA Tours and Invensys
plc,aglobalelectronics,softwareandsystemscompany,have reached an
agreementwherebyInvensysbecomesan"OfficialSponsor" of the World Golf
Championships.

theWorld Golf Championships," said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem on behalf
of the International Federation of PGA Tours."This is a company that has shown
astrongcommitment to golf, first as title sponsor of the Invensys Classic at
Las Vegas and now in their commitment to the World Golf Championships."

marketingforum that will greatly enhance our commitment to build a world-class
brand,"saidAllen Yurko, Chief Executive Officer of Invensys. "We are excited

FederationofPGA Tours and the support of events across the US, Asia, Europe,
Japan, Australia and South America."
It was announced in April 2000, that Invensys will sponsor the PGA Tour event in
LasVegas,Nev., for the next three years. That event will now be known as the
Invensys Classic at Las Vegas, and will offer a purse of $4.25 million in 2000.
TheWorldGolf Championships are sanctioned and organized by the International
Federation of PGA Tours, which includes the Asian PGA, European Tour, Japan Golf
Tour, PGA Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and Southern Africa Tour.
ThefirstWorldGolf Championships event of the year, the Andersen Consulting
MatchPlayChampionship,washeld in February with Darren Clarke earning the
title,defeatingTigerWoods in the championship match.The NEC Invitational
willbeplayedAug. 21-27 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, USA.The
AmericanExpress Championship will again be held at Valderrama, Spain, the week
ofNov.7-12,withthe EMC World Cup to follow a month later at Buenos Aires
Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In addition to Umbrella Sponsors, Andersen Consulting, NEC, American Express and
EMC,Invensys joins Anheuser-Busch, Buick, Bridgestone/Firestone, Volvo, Kohler
and Nike as a World Golf Championships Official Sponsor.
