Thomas Bjorn
won the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday thanks to Tiger Woods double-bogeying
the 18th hole. With the victory, Bjorn jumped four places to 14th
in the latest World Golf Rankings.
Woods, who
lost for only the fourth time in his career after owning a piece
of the lead heading into Sunday, remained atop the latest rankings
followed by Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els.
Davis Love
III, who played in the final group on Sunday for the third straight
event at the Genuity Championship, moved up one to fourth. Lee Westwood,
who shared 17th at Dubai, dropped to fifth.
Colin Montgomerie
and David Duval switched places from a week ago, with the Scotsman
taking sixth while Duval fell to seventh.
Vijay Singh
and Hal Sutton, who shared third at the Genuity Championship, remained
at eighth and ninth, respectively.
Tom Lehman
hopped two spots to round out the top-10.
Darren Clarke
held on to his 11th ranking from last week while Jim Furyk fell
two notches to 12th. Nick Price stayed at number-13.

Bjorn leaped
from 18th to number-14 followed by Canadian Mike Weir. Weir also
vaulted four spots to 15th after his runner-up finish to Joe Durant
at Doral.
Sergio Garcia slipped two as did Swede Jesper Parnevik. Garcia took 16th this
week with Parnevik holding the 17th position.
New Zealand's
Michael Campbell fell two to 18th while Ireland's Padraig Harrington climbed one to number-19. Stewart Cink, who held the second round
lead at Doral before a disastrous weekend, dropped three to 20th.
Durant, who
became the first multiple winner on the PGA Tour this season, flew
up 40 places to 56th. He shattered the record books with his win
at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last month and then came from four
back to win the Genuity Championship.
Brad Faxon
and Toshi Izawa finished this week among the top-50 in the World
Golf Rankings, which gets them invitations to this year's Masters.
